14 On page 123, lines 12-23,
15 remove from the amendment: all of said lines

17 and insert in lieu thereof: specialty training is of great
18 importance to the citizens of this state and that specialty
19 training and certification creates a higher level of
20 proficiency for the practitioner and improves the delivery of
21 health care to Floridians. Because much confusion exists among
22 the patient population and practitioners as to the
23 requirements for board certification, the Legislature directs
24 the Department of Health to conduct a study of the area of
25 specialty certification relating to the Board of Medicine, the
26 Board of Osteopathic Medicine, and the Board of Dentistry. The
27 study should review current statutes and rules to determine if
28 any barriers exist in board recognition of certifying
