17 Section 1. Effective July 4, 2000, section 11.2421,
18 Florida Statutes (1997), is amended to read:
19 11.2421 Florida Statutes 2000 1999 adopted.--The
20 accompanying revision, consolidation, and compilation of the
21 public statutes of 1999 1997 of a general and permanent
22 nature, excepting tables, rules, indexes, and other related
23 matter contained therein, prepared by the Office of
24 Legislative Services under the provisions of s. 11.242,
25 together with corrections, changes, and amendments to and
26 repeals of provisions of Florida Statutes 1997 enacted in
27 additional reviser's bill or bills by the 1999 Legislature, is
28 adopted and enacted as the official statute law of the state
29 under the title of "Florida Statutes 2000 1999" and shall take
30 effect immediately upon publication. Said statutes may be
31 cited as "Florida Statutes 2000 1999," "Florida Statutes," or

2 Section 2. Effective July 3, 2001, section 11.2421,
3 Florida Statutes (1997), as amended by section 1 of this act,
4 is amended to read:
5 11.2421 Florida Statutes 2001 2000 adopted.--The
6 accompanying revision, consolidation, and compilation of the
7 public statutes of 2000 1999 of a general and permanent
8 nature, excepting tables, rules, indexes, and other related
9 matter contained therein, prepared by the Office of
10 Legislative Services under the provisions of s. 11.242, is
11 adopted and enacted as the official statute law of the state
12 under the title of "Florida Statutes 2001 2000" and shall take
13 effect immediately upon publication. Said statutes may be
14 cited as "Florida Statutes 2001 2000," "Florida Statutes," or
15 "F.S. 2001 2000."
16 Section 3. Section 11.2421, Florida Statutes (1997),
17 as amended by sections 1 and 2 of this act, is amended to
18 read:

1 11.2422 Statutes repealed.--Every statute of a general
2 and permanent nature enacted by the State or by the Territory
3 of Florida at or prior to the November 1997 special session or
4 the regular 1998 and 1999 1997 legislative sessions session,
5 and every part of such statute, not included in Florida
6 Statutes 2000 1999, as adopted by s. 11.2421, as amended, or
7 recognized and continued in force by reference therein or in
8 ss. 11.2423 and 11.2424, as amended, is repealed.
9 Section 5. Effective July 3, 2001, section 11.2422,
10 Florida Statutes (1997), as amended by section 4 of this act,
11 is amended to read:
12 11.2422 Statutes repealed.--Every statute of a general
13 and permanent nature enacted by the State or by the Territory
14 of Florida at or prior to the November 1997 special session or
15 the regular 2000 1998 and 1999 legislative session sessions,
16 and every part of such statute, not included in Florida
17 Statutes 2001 2000, as adopted by s. 11.2421, as amended, or
18 recognized and continued in force by reference therein or in
19 ss. 11.2423 and 11.2424, as amended, is repealed.
20 Section 6. Section 11.2422, Florida Statutes (1997),
21 as amended by sections 4 and 5 of this act, is amended to
22 read:
23 11.2422 Statutes repealed.--Every statute of a general
24 and permanent nature enacted by the State or by the Territory
25 of Florida at or prior to the regular 2001 2000 legislative
26 session, and every part of such statute, not included in
27 Florida Statutes 2002 2001, as adopted by s. 11.2421, as
28 amended, or recognized and continued in force by reference
29 therein or in ss. 11.2423 and 11.2424, as amended, is
30 repealed.
31 Section 7. Effective July 4, 2000, section 11.2424,

8 Section 8. Effective July 3, 2001, section 11.2424,
9 Florida Statutes (1997), as amended by section 7 of this act,
10 is amended to read:
11 11.2424 Laws not repealed.--Laws enacted at the 2001
12 2000 regular session are not repealed by the adoption and
13 enactment of the Florida Statutes 2001 2000 by s. 11.2421, as
14 amended, but shall have full effect as if enacted after its
15 said adoption and enactment.

17 as amended by sections 7 and 8 of this act, is amended to
18 read:
19 11.2424 Laws not repealed.--Laws enacted at the
20 October 22-November 1, 2001, and November 27-December 6, 2001,
21 special sessions and the 2002 2001 regular session are not
22 repealed by the adoption and enactment of the Florida Statutes
23 2002 2001 by s. 11.2421, as amended, but shall have full
24 effect as if enacted after its said adoption and enactment.
25 Section 10. Effective July 4, 2000, section 11.2425,

20 Section 13. It is the intent of the Legislature that
21 the recodification of the Florida Statutes occur on an annual
22 basis.
23 Section 14. The provisions of this act are of a
24 remedial and curative nature and, to the extent permitted
25 under the Constitution of the United States of America and the
26 Constitution of the State of Florida, are intended to be
27 applied retroactively.
28 Section 15. Except as otherwise provided herein, this
29 act shall take effect 60 days after the adjournment sine die
30 of the 2002 regular session of the Florida Legislature.

7 Florida Statutes 2000, 2001, and 2002 and
8 designating the portions thereof that are to
9 constitute the official law of the state;
10 providing that the Florida Statutes 2000 and
11 2001 shall be effective retroactively and that
12 Florida Statutes 2002 shall be effective
13 immediately upon publication; providing that
14 general laws enacted during the November 1997
15 special session and the 1998, 1999, 2000, and
16 2001 sessions through the 2001 regular session
17 that are not included in the Florida Statutes
18 2002 are repealed; providing that general laws
19 enacted during the October 22-November 1, 2001,
20 and November 27-December 6, 2001, special
21 sessions and the 2002 regular session are not
22 repealed by this adoption act; providing that
23 this act does not affect civil lawsuits pending
24 on the date laws are repealed or adopted by
25 this act; providing that retroactive
26 application shall apply only to the extent
27 permitted by the Florida and United States
28 Constitutions; providing effective dates.
