13         Amendment to Amendment (613005) (with directory

14  language and title amendments) 

15         On page 10, between lines 2 & 3,

16

17  insert:

18         (4)(a)  All charges or reimbursement claims made by or

19  on behalf of a clinic that is required to be registered under

20  this section, but that is not so registered, are unlawful

21  charges and therefore are noncompensable and unenforceable.

22  However, an insurer shall not deny a claim submitted by a

23  provider on the basis that the provider is not registered

24  pursuant to s. 456.0375 unless at the time of denial the

25  insurer has reasonable proof from a source other than the

26  provider that the provider is an entity, sole proprietorship,

27  group practice, partnership or corporation which is required

28  to register pursuant to this section.
