19 Florida Statutes (1997), is amended to read:
20 11.2421 Florida Statutes 2000 1999 adopted.--The
21 accompanying revision, consolidation, and compilation of the
22 public statutes of 1999 1997 of a general and permanent
23 nature, excepting tables, rules, indexes, and other related
24 matter contained therein, prepared by the Office of
25 Legislative Services under the provisions of s. 11.242,
26 together with corrections, changes, and amendments to and
27 repeals of provisions of Florida Statutes 1997 enacted in
28 additional reviser's bill or bills by the 1999 Legislature, is
29 adopted and enacted as the official statute law of the state
30 under the title of "Florida Statutes 2000 1999" and shall take
31 effect immediately upon publication. Said statutes may be

4 of Florida at or prior to the November 1997 special session or
5 the regular 1998 and 1999 1997 legislative sessions session,
6 and every part of such statute, not included in Florida
7 Statutes 2000 1999, as adopted by s. 11.2421, as amended, or
8 recognized and continued in force by reference therein or in
9 ss. 11.2423 and 11.2424, as amended, is repealed.
10 Section 5. Effective July 3, 2001, section 11.2422,
11 Florida Statutes (1997), as amended by section 4 of this act,
12 is amended to read:
13 11.2422 Statutes repealed.--Every statute of a general
14 and permanent nature enacted by the State or by the Territory

11 is amended to read:
12 11.2424 Laws not repealed.--Laws enacted at the 2001
13 2000 regular session are not repealed by the adoption and
14 enactment of the Florida Statutes 2001 2000 by s. 11.2421, as
15 amended, but shall have full effect as if enacted after its
16 said adoption and enactment.
17 Section 9. Section 11.2424, Florida Statutes (1997),
18 as amended by sections 7 and 8 of this act, is amended to
19 read:
20 11.2424 Laws not repealed.--Laws enacted at the
21 October 22-November 1, 2001, and November 27-December 6, 2001,
22 special sessions and the 2002 2001 regular session are not
23 repealed by the adoption and enactment of the Florida Statutes
24 2002 2001 by s. 11.2421, as amended, but shall have full
25 effect as if enacted after its said adoption and enactment.
26 Section 10. Effective July 4, 2000, section 11.2425,

25 remedial and curative nature and, to the extent permitted
26 under the Constitution of the United States of America and the
27 Constitution of the State of Florida, are intended to be
28 applied retroactively.
29 Section 15. Except as otherwise provided herein, this
30 act shall take effect 60 days after the adjournment sine die
31 of the 2002 regular session of the Florida Legislature.

9 11.2424, and 11.2425, F.S.; adopting the
10 Florida Statutes 2000, 2001, and 2002 and
11 designating the portions thereof that are to
12 constitute the official law of the state;
13 providing that the Florida Statutes 2000 and
14 2001 shall be effective retroactively and that
15 Florida Statutes 2002 shall be effective
16 immediately upon publication; providing that
17 general laws enacted during the November 1997
18 special session and the 1998, 1999, 2000, and
19 2001 sessions through the 2001 regular session
20 that are not included in the Florida Statutes
21 2002 are repealed; providing that general laws
22 enacted during the October 22-November 1, 2001,
23 and November 27-December 6, 2001, special
24 sessions and the 2002 regular session are not
25 repealed by this adoption act; providing that
26 this act does not affect civil lawsuits pending
27 on the date laws are repealed or adopted by
28 this act; providing that retroactive
29 application shall apply only to the extent
30 permitted by the Florida and United States
31 Constitutions; providing effective dates.
