17 Section 1. Effective January 7, 2003, section 26.031,
18 Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
19 26.031 Judicial circuits; number of judges.--The
20 number of circuit judges in each circuit shall be as follows:

12 Section 2. The circuit court judges filling new
13 offices created by this act shall be elected in 2002 according
14 to the procedure prescribed in chapter 105, Florida Statutes,
15 and shall take office on January 7, 2003. This section shall
16 take effect upon this act becoming a law.
17 Section 3. Except as otherwise expressly provided in
18 this act, this act shall take effect July 1, 2002.
