12  Affairs recommended the following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment 

15         On page 12, lines 6-15, delete those lines

16

17  and insert:

18         (b)  As used in this paragraph, the phrase "any of the

19  three largest" means any of the three most populous according

20  to the latest U.S. Bureau of the Census data, as updated

21  annually in accordance with s. 186.901. The determination as

22  to whether a county has a population in excess of 1 million

23  persons must be based upon the latest U.S. Bureau of the

24  Census data, as updated annually in accordance with s.

25  186.901. The county population and the identity of any of the

26  three largest municipalities in the county must be established

27  as of the date on which the municipality enacts the enabling

28  ordinance under paragraph (a).
