13         Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 9, lines 3-18,

15  remove:  all of said lines

16

17  and insert:  funds pursuant to s. 212.08(5)(j),  or eminent

18  scholars program must be deposited into the trust fund and

19  invested pursuant to s. 18.125 until the Board of Regents

20  allocates the funds to universities to match private

21  donations. Notwithstanding s. 216.301 and pursuant to s.

22  216.351, any undisbursed balance remaining in the trust fund

23  and interest income accruing to the portion of the trust fund

24  which is not matched and distributed to universities must

25  remain in the trust fund and be used to increase the total

26  funds available for challenge grants.  Funds deposited to the

27  trust fund for the sales tax exemption matching program

28  authorized in s.212.08(5)(j), and interest earnings thereon,

29  shall be maintained in a separate account within the Trust

30  Fund for Major Gifts, and may be used only to match qualified

31  sales tax exemptions that a certified business designates for
