13 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
14 On page 31, between lines 21 and 22,

16 insert:
17 (7) If an independent college or university that is
18 under the jurisdiction of the Department of Education wishes
19 to offer a postsecondary technical certificate or diploma
20 program, or wishes to offer a program that is beyond the scope
21 of its accreditation, the Department of Education may
22 contract with the Commission for Independent Education to
23 review the program. The commission shall forward its
24 recommendation to the department for final action. The
25 department shall assess the institution seeking such services
26 the cost of providing the review and shall deposit the revenue
27 collected for the review in the Institutional Assessment Trust
28 Fund.
