  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to bingo; amending s. 849.0931,

  3         F.S.; redefining the term "bingo card";

  4         providing an effective date.

  6  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  7

  8         Section 1.  Paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of section

  9  849.0931, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:

10         849.0931  Bingo authorized; conditions for conduct;

11  permitted uses of proceeds; limitations.--

12         (1)  As used in this section:

13         (b)  "Bingo card" means and refers to the flat piece of

14  paper or thin pasteboard employed by players engaged in the

15  game of bingo.  The bingo card shall have not fewer than 24

16  playing numbers printed on it.  These playing numbers shall

17  range from 1 through 75, inclusive.  More than one set of

18  bingo numbers may be printed on any single piece of paper or

19  thin pasteboard.

20         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2002.
