DELETE the second sentence in the paragraph of proviso language
following Specific Appropriation 259 that reads:
If Senate Bill 2340, which eliminates the Department of Labor and
Employment Security, or similar legislation considered during the
2002 Regular Session, does not become law, the Executive Office of
the Governor shall transfer 19 positions and $1,139,978 in budget
authority to the Department of Labor and Employment Security for the
Workers' Compensation Program.
and INSERT in lieu thereof:
If legislation considered during the 2002 Regular Session which
transfers funds and positions from the Department of Labor and
Employment Security to this budget entity, does not become law, the
Executive Office of the Governor shall transfer positions and
associated funding to the Department of Labor and Employment

Security or to a new budget entity prescribed by law for continued
operations.
