On Page: 124             This amendment provides $793,244 to the Department of
                         Corrections to provide HIV testing of all inmates
Spec App:  849           within 60 days of their release dates.  Funding is
                         contingent upon passage of Senate Bill 308 or similar
                         legislation becoming law.

Immediately following Specific Appropriation 849, INSERT:

From the funds provided in Specific Appropriation 849, $793,244 is
provided to test inmates for HIV infection not less than 60 days prior
to release from prison.  This funding is contingent upon Senate Bill 308
or similar legislation becoming law.

Line item amendments are accepted as part of the amendatory process. However, due to the necessity of using computerized systems this may entail a different placement within a budget entity or the renumbering of the specific appropriation items.
