18 Section 1. Subsection (2) of section 212.0606, Florida
19 Statutes, is amended to read:
20 212.0606 Rental car surcharge.--
21 (2)(a) Notwithstanding the provisions of section
22 212.20, and less costs of administration, 80 percent of the
23 proceeds of this surcharge shall be deposited in the State
24 Transportation Trust Fund, 15.75 percent of the proceeds of
25 this surcharge shall be deposited in the Tourism Promotional
26 Trust Fund created in s. 288.122, and 4.25 percent of the
27 proceeds of this surcharge shall be deposited in the Florida
28 International Trade and Promotion Trust Fund. For the purposes
29 of this subsection, "proceeds" of the surcharge means all
30 funds collected and received by the department under this
31 section, including interest and penalties on delinquent

1 surcharges.
2 (b) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, in
3 fiscal year 2007-2008 and each year thereafter, the proceeds
4 deposited in the State Transportation Trust Fund shall be
5 allocated on an annual basis in the Department of
6 Transportation's work program to each department district,
7 except the Turnpike District. The amount allocated for each
8 district shall be based upon the amount of proceeds collected
9 in the counties within each respective district.

16 insert:
17 amending s. 212.0606, F.S.; requiring proceeds
18 from the surcharge in the State Transportation
19 Trust Fund be used to fund the County Incentive
20 Grant Program in the Department of
21 Transportation;
