11  Senator Mitchell moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 45, between lines 17 and 18,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 36.  Section 372.27, Florida Statutes, is

18  amended to read:

19         372.27  Silver Springs and Rainbow Springs, etc.,

20  closed to all fishing.--It is unlawful for any person to take

21  any fish within Marion County, from the waters of Rainbow

22  Springs and Rainbow River (formerly known as Blue Springs and

23  Blue Springs River) within that portion of Rainbow Springs

24  State Park lying within a radius of 1,700 feet 1 mile from the

25  head of Rainbow said Spring, or from the waters of Silver

26  Springs or Silver Springs Run from the head of Silver Springs

27  said spring to its junction with the Oklawaha River. However,

28  ; provided, that the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission

29  may remove or cause to be removed any gar, mud fish, or other

30  predatory fish from either spring or river when in its

31  judgment their removal is desirable.
