11  Senator Campbell moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment 

14         On page 8, between lines 14 and 15,

16  insert:

17         (b)  Any insurance company that is obligated to report

18  and remit the excise tax on commercial casualty insurance

19  premiums imposed under s. 185.08 and is unable, after due

20  diligence, to assign an insured property to a specific local

21  taxing jurisdiction for purposes of complying with paragraph

22  (a) shall remit the excise tax on commercial casualty

23  insurance premiums using a methodology of apportionment in a

24  manner consistent with the remittance for the 2001 calendar

25  year. Any change in the total amount of proceeds remitted from

26  the tax imposed under s. 185.08 should be apportioned

27  proportionately between the state and any participating

28  municipality.
