14         On page 6, between lines 26 & 27,

16  insert:  (13)  This section shall not apply to a charter

17  county with a population of 1.6 million or greater which is

18  not a county defined in s. 125.011(1), 85 percent or more of

19  the county's residents reside in incorporated areas, and the

20  charter county enacted an ordinance regulating signs as

21  described in subsection (9) within the unincorporated area of

22  the county prior to January 1, 2002. Nothing herein is

23  intended to abrogate the rights any sign owner may have to

24  challenge the county's enforcement of its sign ordinance or

25  the removal of any lawfully erected sign after the applicable

26  amortization period established din the charter county's

27  ordinance has expired. This subsection is repealed without

28  further act of the Legislature on October 1, 2006.
