15         On page 30, between lines 10 and 11, of the bill

16

17  insert:

18         Section 7. Subsection (4) of section 332.004, Florida

19  Statutes, is amended to read:

20          332.004  Definitions of terms used in ss.

21  332.003-332.007.--As used in ss. 332.003-332.007, the term:

22         (4)  "Airport or aviation development project" or

23  "development project" means any activity associated with the

24  design, construction, purchase, improvement, or repair of a

25  public-use airport or portion thereof, including, but not

26  limited to: the purchase of equipment; the acquisition of

27  land, including land required as a condition of a federal,

28  state, or local permit or agreement for environmental

29  mitigation; off-airport noise mitigation projects;  the

30  removal, lowering, relocation, marking, and lighting of

31  airport hazards; the installation of navigation aids used by

  1  aircraft in landing at or taking off from a public airport;

  2  the installation of safety equipment required by rule or

  3  regulation for certification of the airport under s. 612 of

  4  the Federal Aviation Act of 1958, and amendments thereto; and

  5  the improvement of access to the airport by road or rail

  6  system which is on airport property and which is consistent,

  7  to the maximum extent feasible, with the approved local

  8  government comprehensive plan of the units of local government

  9  in which the airport is located.

18         amending s. 332.004, F.S.; adding off-airport

19         noise mitigation projects to the definition of
