13         Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 32, between lines 4 and 5,

15

16  and insert:

17         Section 8.  Subsection (2) of section 212.0606, Florida

18  Statutes, is amended to read:

19         212.0606  Rental car surcharge.--

20         (2)(a)  Notwithstanding the provisions of section

21  212.20, and less costs of administration, 80 percent of the

22  proceeds of this surcharge shall be deposited in the State

23  Transportation Trust Fund, 15.75 percent of the proceeds of

24  this surcharge shall be deposited in the Tourism Promotional

25  Trust Fund created in s. 288.122, and 4.25 percent of the

26  proceeds of this surcharge shall be deposited in the Florida

27  International Trade and Promotion Trust Fund. For the purposes

28  of this subsection, "proceeds" of the surcharge means all

29  funds collected and received by the department under this

30  section, including interest and penalties on delinquent

31  surcharges.

  1         (b)  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, in

  2  fiscal year 2007-2008 and each year thereafter, the proceeds

  3  deposited in the State Transportation Trust Fund shall be

  4  allocated on an annual basis in the Department of

  5  Transportation's work program to each department district,

  6  except the Turnpike District. The amount allocated for each

  7  district shall be based upon the amount of proceeds collected

  8  in the counties within each respective district.

13         On page 2, line 4, after the semicolon,

15  insert:

16         amending s. 212.060, F.S.; requiring proceeds

17         from surcharge in the State Transportation
