11  The Committee on Governmental Oversight and Productivity
12  recommended the following amendment:
13  
14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 1, line 12, through page 3, line 7, delete
16  those lines
17  
18  and insert:  
19         Section 1.  Any veteran of the United States Armed
20  Forces or his or her widow or widower, attorney, personal
21  representative, executor, or court appointed guardian has the
22  right to request that a county recorder remove from the
23  official records any of the following forms recorded before,
24  on, or after the effective date of this act, by or on behalf
25  of the requesting veteran: DD-214; DD-215; WD AGO 53; WD AGO
26  55; WD AGO 53-55; NAVMC 78-PD; and NAVPERS 553. The request
27  must specify the identification page number of the form to be
28  removed. The request shall be made in person and with
29  appropriate identification to allow determination of the
30  identity of the requested. The county recorder has no duty to
31  inquire beyond the request to verify the identity of the
