16 insert:
17 Section 51. In order to implement Specific
18 Appropriation 2235 of the 2002-2003 General Appropriations
19 Act, subsection (13) is added to section 411.01, Florida
20 Statutes to read:
21 411.01 Florida Partnership for School Readiness;
22 school readiness coalitions.--
23 (13) Notwithstanding any other provision of this
24 section to the contrary, and for fiscal year 2002-2003 only,
25 the first children to be placed in the school readiness
26 program shall be those from families receiving temporary cash
27 assistance and subject to federal work requirements. As
28 appropriate placements become available for the school
29 readiness program, the next children to be placed shall be
30 those who are 4 years old and are from families that meet the
31 financial eligibility requirements of subsection (6).
