10	A bill to be entitled
11	An act relating to governmental efficiency and
12	productivity; providing a legislative finding; requiring
13	the Department of Management Services to issue an
14	invitation to negotiate for the purpose of establishing a
15	state term contract to conduct a review of certain agency
16	contracts; providing an effective date.

18	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
19
20	Section 1. The Legislature finds that a complete review of
21	state agency service contracts with respect to equipment and
22	capital assets could produce immediate and long-term savings.
23	Section 2. The Department of Management Services shall
24	issue an invitation to negotiate pursuant to chapter 287,
25	Florida Statutes, by July 1, 2003, for purposes of establishing
26	a state term contract as defined in s. 287.012, Florida
27	Statutes, for a comprehensive review of state agency service
28	contracts for the periodic repair, preventative maintenance, or
29	enhancement of leased or owned equipment, including, but not
30	limited to, office equipment, office systems, and any other
31	capital assets.
32	Section 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
