14         On page 16, between lines 12 and 13,

16  insert:  
17         Section 9.  Subsection (26) of section 415.102, Florida
18  Statutes, is amended to read:
19         415.102  Definitions of terms used in ss.
20  415.101-415.113.--As used in ss. 415.101-415.113, the term:
21         (26)  "Vulnerable adult" means a person 18 years of age
22  or older whose ability to perform the normal activities of
23  daily living or to provide for his or her own care or
24  protection is impaired due to a long-term mental, emotional,
25  physical, or developmental disability or dysfunctioning, or
26  brain damage, or the infirmities of aging.
