11         Boulevard" in Miami-Dade County; designating

12         "George Gill Boulevard" in Miami-Dade County;

13         designating "James Weldon Johnson Boulevard" in

14         Miami-Dade County; designating "T. Stewart

15         Greer Boulevard" in Miami-Dade County;

16         directing the Department of Transportation to

17         erect suitable markers; providing an effective

18         date.

20  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

21  

22         Section 1.  "Jean-Jacques Dessalines Boulevard"

23  designated; Department of Transportation to erect suitable

24  markers.--

25         (1)  State Road 944 on N.W. 54th Street in Miami-Dade

26  County, from the west boundary of State House District 108 to

27  U.S. 1, is designated as Jean-Jacques Dessalines Boulevard.

28         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

29  erect suitable markers designating Jean-Jacques Dessalines

30  Boulevard as described in subsection (1).

 1         Section 2.  "Toussaint L'Ouverture Boulevard"

 2  designated; Department of Transportation to erect suitable

 3  markers.--

 4         (1)  State Road 922 on N.W. 125th Street in Miami-Dade

 5  County, from N.W. 7th Avenue to Griffing Boulevard, is

 6  designated as Toussaint L'Ouverture Boulevard.

 7         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

 8  erect suitable markers designating Toussaint L'Ouverture

 9  Boulevard as described in subsection (1).

10         Section 3.  "Frederick Douglass Boulevard" designated;

11  Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.--

12         (1)  State Road 915 on N.E. 6th Avenue in Miami-Dade

13  County, from the north boundary of State House District 108 to

14  U.S. 1, is designated as Frederick Douglass Boulevard.

15         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

16  erect suitable markers designating Frederick Douglass

17  Boulevard as described in subsection (1).

18         Section 4.  "Ronald A. Silver Boulevard" designated;

19  Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.--

20         (1)  Miami Gardens Drive from U.S. 1 to U.S. 441 in

21  Miami-Dade County is designated as Ronald A. Silver Boulevard.

22         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

23  erect suitable markers designated Ronald A. Silver Boulevard

24  as described in subsection (1).

25         Section 5.  "Alexandre Petion Boulevard" designation;

26  Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.--

27         (1)  State Road 909 on West Dixie Highway in Miami-Dade

28  County, from the north boundary of State House District 108 to

29  N.E. 2nd Avenue, is designated as Alexandre Petion Boulevard.

 1         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

 2  erect suitable markers designating Alexandre Petion Boulevard

 3  as described in subsection (1).

 4         Section 6.  "Lawton Chiles Boulevard" designated;

 5  Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.--

 6         (1)  State Road 7 on N.W. 7th Avenue (U.S. 441) in

 7  Miami-Dade County, from the north boundary of State House

 8  District 108 to the south boundary of the District, is

 9  designated as Lawton Chiles Boulevard.

10         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

11  erect suitable markers designating Lawton Chiles Boulevard as

12  described in subsection (1).

13         Section 7.  "George Gill Boulevard" designated;

14  Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.--

15         (1)  State Road 5 on Biscayne Boulevard (U.S. 1) in

16  Miami-Dade County, from the north boundary of State House

17  District 108 to the south boundary of the District, is

18  designated as George Gill Boulevard.

19         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

20  erect suitable markers designating George Gill Boulevard as

21  described in subsection (1).

22         Section 8.  "James Weldon Johnson Boulevard"

23  designated; Department of Transportation to erect suitable

24  markers.--

25         (1)  State Road 932 on N.W. 103rd Street in Miami-Dade

26  County, from the west boundary of State House District 108 to

27  N.E. 6th Avenue, is designated as James Weldon Johnson

28  Boulevard.

29         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

30  erect suitable markers designating James Weldon Johnson

31  Boulevard.

 1         Section 9.  "T. Stewart Greer Boulevard" designated;

 2  Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.--

 3         (1)  That portion of N.W. 183rd Street in Miami-Dade

 4  County, from N.W. 32nd Avenue to N.W. 47th Avenue, is

 5  designated as T. Stewart Greer Boulevard.

 6         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

 7  erect suitable markers designating T. Stewart Greer Boulevard.

 8         Section 10.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

 9  law.

11          STATEMENT OF SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES CONTAINED IN
                       COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR

14  The CS deleted the following road designations:

15  U.S. 1 between S.W. 216th Street and S.W. 232nd Street in
    Miami-Dade County is designated as the "Judge Steve Levine
16  Boulevard."

17  U.S. 1 between S.W. 136th Street and S.W. 186th Street in
    Miami-Dade County is designated as the "Steve Cranman
18  Boulevard."

19  Southwest 186th Street between U.S. 1 and S.W. 107th Avenue in
    Miami-Dade County is designated as the "Ethel Beckford
20  Boulevard."

21  S.W. 112th Avenue from U.S. 1 to S.W. 230th Street in
    Miami-Dade County is designated as the "Arthur Mays
22  Boulevard."

23  State Road 922 (96th Street), which provides entry and exit
    into the Bal Harbour Shops, is designated as the "Stanley
24  Whitman Boulevard."
