Remove line(s) 4114-4129, and insert: |

|
(1) MINIMUM SALARY.--The Commissioner of Education shall |
|
17
|
establish a statewide task force to review the implications of |
|
18
|
establishing a minimum salary for Florida public school |
|
19
|
teachers. The task force shall include 15 members who are |
|
20
|
teachers, principals, district school board members, district |
|
21
|
school superintendents, and legislators. Associations |
|
22
|
representing school personnel shall make recommendations to the |
|
23
|
commissioner for appointment to the task force. Consideration |
|
24
|
shall be given to current differentials between steps on salary |
|
25
|
schedules, degrees earned, performance pay, district cost-of- |
|
26
|
living, and other relevant implications of a minimum pay policy. |
|
27
|
The task force shall submit its findings to the Governor, the |
|
28
|
President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of |
|
29
|
Representatives by January 1, 2004.
