  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to state road designations;

  3         designating a portion of State Road 63 in

  4         Gadsden County as the "Dr. Martin Luther King,

  5         Jr., Memorial Highway"; providing for the

  6         erection of signs; providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9  

10         Section 1.  (1)  That portion of State Road 63 (U.S.

11  27) that lies within the city limits of Havana in Gadsden

12  County is designated the "Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.,

13  Memorial Highway."

14         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

15  erect suitable markers designating Dr. Martin Luther King,

16  Jr., Memorial Highway as described in subsection (1).

17         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2003.
