14 On page 5, lines 16-19, delete those lines

16 and insert:
17 Section 2. Subsection (1), paragraph (a) of subsection
18 (2), and subsection (4) of section 112.533, Florida Statutes,
19 are amended to read:
20 112.533 Receipt and processing of complaints.--
21 (1) Every law enforcement agency and correctional
22 agency shall establish and put into operation a system for the
23 receipt, investigation, and determination of complaints
24 received by such agency from any person, which shall be the
25 procedure for investigating a complaint against a law
26 enforcement and correctional officer and for determining
27 whether to proceed with disciplinary action or to file
28 disciplinary charges, notwithstanding any other law or
29 ordinance to the contrary. This subsection does not preclude
30 the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission from
31 exercising its authority under chapter 943.
