  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the Department of Community

  3         Affairs; expressing the Legislature's intent to

  4         enact legislation to transfer the powers and

  5         duties of the department to the Secretary of

  6         State; providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9  

10         Section 1.  The Legislature intends to enact

11  legislation transferring the powers, duties, and

12  responsibilities of the Department of Community Affairs to the

13  Secretary of State.

14         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2003.
