                | 9 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: | 
              
                | 10 |  | 
              
                | 11 | Section 1.  Section 316.209, Florida Statutes, is amended | 
              
                | 12 | to read: | 
              
                | 13 | 316.209  Operating motorcycles on roadways laned for | 
              
                | 14 | traffic.-- | 
              
                | 15 | (1)  All motorcycles are entitled to full use of a lane and | 
              
                | 16 | no motor vehicle shall be driven in such manner as to deprive | 
              
                | 17 | any motorcycle of the full use of a lane. This subsection shall | 
              
                | 18 | not apply to motorcycles operated two abreast in a single lane. | 
              
                | 19 | (2)  The operator of a motorcycle shall not overtake and | 
              
                | 20 | pass in the same lane occupied by the vehicle being overtaken. | 
              
                | 21 | (3)  No person shall operate a motorcycle between lanes of | 
              
                | 22 | traffic or between adjacent lines or rows of vehicles. | 
              
                | 23 | (4)  Motorcycles shall not be operated more than two | 
              
                | 24 | abreast in a single lane. | 
              
                | 25 | (5)  Subsections (2) and (3) do shallnot apply to police | 
              
                | 26 | officers or firefightersin the performance of their official | 
              
                | 27 | duties. | 
              
                | 28 | (6)  A violation of this section is a noncriminal traffic | 
              
                | 29 | infraction, punishable as a moving violation as provided in | 
              
                | 30 | chapter 318. | 
              
                | 31 | Section 2.  Subsection (2) of section 316.293, Florida | 
              
                | 32 | Statutes, is amended to read: | 
              
                | 33 | 316.293  Motor vehicle noise.-- | 
              
                | 34 | (2)  OPERATING NOISE LIMITS.--No person shall operate or be | 
              
                | 35 | permitted to operate a vehicle at any time or under any | 
              
                | 36 | condition of roadway grade, load, acceleration, or deceleration | 
              
                | 37 | in such a manner as to generate a sound level in excess of the | 
              
                | 38 | following limit for the category of motor vehicle and applicable | 
              
                | 39 | speed limit at a distance of 50 feet from the center of the lane | 
              
                | 40 | of travel under measurement procedures established under | 
              
                | 41 | subsection (3). | 
              
                | 42 | (a)  For motorcycles other than motor-driven cycles:
