  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to foreign students; requiring

  3         each school in this state to report to the

  4         Department of Law Enforcement verified visa

  5         information concerning certain foreign students

  6         who attend the school; providing an effective

  7         date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  Schools must submit verified visa

12  information to the Department of Law Enforcement.--

13         (1)  As used in this section, the term "school" means

14  any public or private educational institution, career

15  educational institution, or association, corporation, person,

16  partnership, or organization providing education.

17         (2)  Each school in this state shall submit to the

18  Department of Law Enforcement verified visa information for

19  each foreign student who is 18 years of age or older and

20  attends the school.

21         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2003.
