  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to orthotics, prosthetics, and

  3         pedorthics; amending s. 468.805, F.S.;

  4         postponing expiration of grandfathering

  5         provisions that allow for licensure of certain

  6         practitioners of orthotics, prosthetics, and

  7         pedorthics until July 1, 2005; providing an

  8         effective date.

10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11  

12         Section 1.  Subsection (7) of section 468.805, Florida

13  Statutes, is amended to read:

14         468.805  Grandfathering.--

15         (7)  This section expires is repealed July 1, 2005

16  2003.

17         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

18  law.

21                          SENATE SUMMARY

22    Postpones the expiration of the grandfather clause that
      provides for continued licensing of certain practitioners
23    of orthotics, prosthetics, and pedorthics from July 1,
      2003, to July 1, 2005.
