11  Senator Dockery moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 5, lines 3-14, delete those lines
15  
16  and insert:  
17         Section 4.  Subsections (1) and (4) of section 372.16,
18  Florida Statutes, are amended to read:
19         372.16  Private game preserves and farms; penalty.--
20         (1)  Any person owning land in this state may
21  establish, maintain, and operate within the boundaries
22  thereof, a private preserve and farm, not exceeding an area of
23  640 acres, for the protection, preservation, propagation,
24  rearing, and production of game birds and animals for private
25  and commercial purposes, provided that no two game preserves
26  shall join each other or be connected. Before any private game
27  preserve or farm is established, the owner or operator shall
28  secure a license from the commission, the fee for which is $50
29  $5 per year.
30         (4)  Any person violating this section for the first
31  offense commits a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable

 1  as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083, and for a second or
 2  subsequent offense commits a misdemeanor of the first degree,
 3  punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.  Any
 4  person convicted of violating this section shall forfeit to
 5  the commission any license or permit issued under this
 6  section; and no further license or permit shall be issued to
 7  such person for a period of 1 year following such conviction.
