  2         An act relating to condominiums; amending s.

  3         718.113, F.S.; allowing unit owners to fly

  4         armed services flags on designated days and

  5         patriotic holidays; providing an effective

  6         date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9  

10         Section 1.  Subsection (4) of section 718.113, Florida

11  Statutes, is amended to read:

12         718.113  Maintenance; limitation upon improvement;

13  display of flag; hurricane shutters.--

14         (4)  Any unit owner may display one portable, removable

15  United States flag in a respectful way and, on Armed Forces

16  Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, and Veterans

17  Day, may display in a respectful way portable, removable

18  official flags, not larger than 4 1/2 feet by 6 feet, that

19  represent the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine

20  Corps, or Coast Guard, regardless of any declaration rules or

21  requirements dealing with flags or decorations.

22         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2003.
