14 On page 79, between lines 17 and 18,

16 insert:
17 Section 58. Paragraph (e) of subsection (2) of section
18 381.7353, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
19 381.7353 Reducing Racial and Ethnic Health
20 Disparities: Closing the Gap grant program; administration;
21 department duties.--
22 (2) The department shall:
23 (e) Coordinate with existing community-based programs,
24 such as chronic disease community intervention programs,
25 cancer prevention and control programs, diabetes control
26 programs, oral health care programs, the Healthy Start
27 program, the Florida KidCare Program, the HIV/AIDS program,
28 immunization programs, and other related programs at the state
29 and local levels, to avoid duplication of effort and promote
30 consistency.

1 381.7355, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
2 381.7355 Project requirements; review criteria.--
3 (2) A proposal must include each of the following
4 elements:
5 (a) The purpose and objectives of the proposal,
6 including identification of the particular racial or ethnic
7 disparity the project will address. The proposal must address
8 one or more of the following priority areas:
9 1. Decreasing racial and ethnic disparities in
10 maternal and infant mortality rates.
11 2. Decreasing racial and ethnic disparities in
12 morbidity and mortality rates relating to cancer.
13 3. Decreasing racial and ethnic disparities in
14 morbidity and mortality rates relating to HIV/AIDS.
15 4. Decreasing racial and ethnic disparities in
16 morbidity and mortality rates relating to cardiovascular
17 disease.
18 5. Decreasing racial and ethnic disparities in
19 morbidity and mortality rates relating to diabetes.
20 6. Increasing adult and child immunization rates in
21 certain racial and ethnic populations.
22 7. Decreasing racial and ethnic disparities in oral
23 health care.
