14 On page 57, between lines 2 and 3,

16 insert:
17 Section 37. Subsection (4) is added to section
18 458.3485, Florida Statutes, to read:
19 458.3485 Medical assistant.--
20 (4) RULES.--The Board of Medicine may by rule
21 establish standards for training and practice for medical
22 assistants with specialized training or experience in any
23 medical specialty area recognized by the board. The rules
24 shall require practice under the direct supervision of a
25 licensed physician who is certified by the board or eligible
26 for certification by the board in that medical specialty area.
