| 4 | F.S.; prohibiting the service of alcoholic beverages to | ||
| 5 | any minor employed by a licensed vendor; providing a | ||
| 6 | penalty; providing an effective date. | ||

| 8 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: | ||
| 9 | |||
| 10 | Section 1.This act shall be known by the popular name the | ||
| 11 | “Jimmy Fugate Act.” | ||
| 12 | Section 2. Section 562.1305, Florida Statutes, is created | ||
| 13 | to read: | ||
| 14 | 562.1305 Service of alcoholic beverages to minors employed | ||
| 15 | by licensed vendors prohibited; penalties.-- | ||
| 16 | (1) It is unlawful for any vendor licensed under the | ||
| 17 | Beverage Law to knowingly serve alcoholic beverages to any minor | ||
| 18 | employed by the licensed vendor. | ||
| 19 | (2) Any licensed vendor who violates the provisions of | ||
| 20 | this section commits a misdemeanor of the first degree, | ||
| 21 | punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083. | ||
| 22 | Section 3. This act shall take effect October 25, 2003. | ||
