409.9081, F.S.; deleting a copayment requirement for |

transportation services used by recipients; providing an |

effective date. |

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
|

|

Section 1. Subsection (2) of section 409.9081, Florida |
|
10
|
Statutes, is amended to read: |
|

|
409.9081 Copayments.-- |
|
12
|
(2) The agency shall, subject to federal regulations and |
|
13
|
any directions or limitations provided for in the General |
|
14
|
Appropriations Act, require copayments for the following |
|
15
|
additional services: hospital inpatient, laboratory and X-ray |
|
16
|
services, transportation services,home health care services, |
|
17
|
community mental health services, rural health services, |
|
18
|
federally qualified health clinic services, and nurse |
|
19
|
practitioner services. The agency may only establish copayments |
|
20
|
for prescribed drugs or for any other federally authorized |
|
21
|
service if such copayment is specifically provided for in the |
|
22
|
General Appropriations Act or other law. |
|
23
|
Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2003. |
