Section 50. In order to implement Specific Appropriation |

381 of the 2003-2004 General Appropriations Act, subsection (7) |

of section 420.625, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: |

420.625 Grant-in-aid program.-- |
|
20
|
(7) DISTRIBUTION TO LOCAL AGENCIES.-- |
|
21
|
(a)District funds so allocated shall be available for |
|
22
|
distribution by the district administrator to local agencies to |
|
23
|
fund programs such as those set forth in subsection (3), based |
|
24
|
upon the recommendations of the local coalitions in accordance |
|
25
|
with spending plans developed by the coalitions and approved by |
|
26
|
the district administrator. Not more than 10 percent of the |
|
27
|
total state funds awarded under a spending plan may be used by |
|
28
|
the local coalition for staffing and administration. |
|
29
|
(b) Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph (a), and |
|
30
|
for fiscal year 2003-2004 only, the department may establish |
|
31
|
district spending plans for the homeless grant-in-aid program |
|
32
|
that allocates up to $25,000 per district for local coalition |
|
33
|
use for staffing and administration. This paragraph expires July |
|
34
|
1, 2004.
