11  Senator Peaden moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 1, delete everything after the enacting clause:

16  and insert:  
17         Section 1.  (1)  The Department of Business and
18  Professional Regulation shall reinstate and reissue the
19  license by July 1, 2005, of each individual whose license to
20  practice surveying and mapping under chapter 472, Florida
21  Statutes, has become null if all of the following
22  circumstances and qualifications are met:
23         (a)  The individual's license was scheduled to be
24  renewed during the biennium period beginning in 2001.
25         (b)  The license of the individual was in good standing
26  at the time of the beginning of the renewal cycle.
27         (c)  The individual properly petitioned the department
28  for relief relating to the circumstances under which the
29  license became null.
30         (d)  During the period that the license was null, the
31  individual did not commit a felony, violate a practice act, or

Amendment No. ___ Barcode 151192 1 engage in unlicensed activity for which a penalty is imposed. 2 (2) The individual must submit an application to the 3 Board of Professional Surveyors and Mappers for reinstatement 4 in a manner prescribed by rules of the board and pay the 5 appropriate application fee in an amount equal to the fee 6 currently imposed for initial licensure. 7 (3) This act expires July 1, 2005. 8 Section 2.
