  2         An act relating to the official Florida

  3         Statutes; amending ss. 11.2421, 11.2422,

  4         11.2424, and ll.2425, F.S.; adopting the

  5         Florida Statutes 2004 and designating the

  6         portions thereof that are to constitute the

  7         official law of the state; providing that the

  8         Florida Statutes 2004 shall be effective

  9         immediately upon publication; providing that

10         general laws enacted during the August 12-13,

11         2003, Special Session and prior thereto and not

12         included in the Florida Statutes 2004 are

13         repealed; providing that general laws enacted

14         during the October 20-24, 2003, Special Session

15         and the 2004 regular session are not repealed

16         by this adoption act.

18  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

19  

20         Section 1.  Section 11.2421, Florida Statutes, is

21  amended to read:

22         11.2421  Florida Statutes 2004 2003 adopted.--The

23  accompanying revision, consolidation, and compilation of the

24  public statutes of 2003 2002 of a general and permanent

25  nature, excepting tables, rules, indexes, and other related

26  matter contained therein, prepared by the Office of

27  Legislative Services under the provisions of s. 11.242,

28  together with corrections, changes, and amendments to and

29  repeals of provisions of Florida Statutes 2003 2002 enacted in

30  additional reviser's bill or bills by the 2004 2003

31  Legislature, is adopted and enacted as the official statute

 1  law of the state under the title of "Florida Statutes 2004

 2  2003" and shall take effect immediately upon publication.

 3  Said statutes may be cited as "Florida Statutes 2004 2003,"

 4  "Florida Statutes," or "F.S. 2004 2003."

 5         Section 2.  Section 11.2422, Florida Statutes, is

 6  amended to read:

 7         11.2422  Statutes repealed.--Every statute of a general

 8  and permanent nature enacted by the State or by the Territory

 9  of Florida at or prior to the August 12-13, 2003 April 29-May

10  13, 2002, special legislative session, and every part of such

11  statute, not included in Florida Statutes 2004 2003, as

12  adopted by s. 11.2421, as amended, or recognized and continued

13  in force by reference therein or in ss. 11.2423 and 11.2424,

14  as amended, is repealed.

15         Section 3.  Section 11.2424, Florida Statutes, is

16  amended to read:

17         11.2424  Laws not repealed.--Laws enacted at the

18  October 20-24, 2003, Special Session and the 2004 2003 regular

19  session are not repealed by the adoption and enactment of the

20  Florida Statutes 2004 2003 by s. 11.2421, as amended, but

21  shall have full effect as if enacted after its said adoption

22  and enactment.

23         Section 4.  Section 11.2425, Florida Statutes, is

24  amended to read:

25         11.2425  Rights reserved under repealed statutes.--The

26  repeal of any statute by the adoption and enactment of Florida

27  Statutes 2004 2003, by s. 11.2421, as amended, shall not

28  affect any right accrued before such repeal or any civil

29  remedy where a suit is pending.
