| 4 | Remove line 42, and insert: |
| 5 | may not provide for an exemption from this section. |
| 6 | Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, no tax upon |
| 7 | estates or inheritances or upon the income of any resident or |
| 8 | citizen of the state, nor any other tax prohibited by Article |
| 9 | VII of this constitution, shall be imposed by a revision or |
| 10 | amendment proposed by initiative unless the proposal embraces |
| 11 | but one subject and matter directly connected therewith. |

| 14 | Remove line 68, and insert: |
| 15 | amendment. The amendment further prohibits inheritance, estate, |
| 16 | income and other taxes presently prohibited by Article VII of |
| 17 | the constitution from being imposed by revision or amendment |
| 18 | proposed by citizen initiative unless the amendment addresses |
| 19 | only one subject. As is presently allowed, such taxes or fees |
| 20 | could still be proposed by initiative if the proposal is limited |
| 21 | to a single subject and is approved by two-thirds of voters. |
