14 On page 29, line 1, through
15 page 30, line 18, delete those lines

17 and insert: shall be organized and shall operate in
18 accordance with this act.
19 (b) The Florida Cancer Council may create
20 not-for-profit corporate subsidiaries to fulfill its mission.
21 The council and its subsidiaries are authorized to receive,
22 hold, invest, and administer property and any moneys acquired
23 from private, local, state, and federal sources, as well as
24 technical and professional income generated or derived from
25 the mission-related activities of the council.
26 (c) The members of the council shall consist of:
27 1. Chairman of the Florida Dialogue on Cancer, who
28 shall serve as the chairman of the council;
29 2. Secretary of the Department of Health or his or her
30 designee;
31 3. Chief Executive Officer of the H. Lee Moffitt

1 Cancer Center or his or her designee;
2 4. Director of the University of Florida Shands Cancer
3 Center or his or her designee;
4 5. Chief Executive Officer of the University of Miami
5 Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center or his or her designee;
6 6. Chief Executive Officer of the Mayo Clinic,
7 Jacksonville or his or her designee;
8 7. Chief Executive Officer of the American Cancer
9 Society, Florida Division or his or her designee;
10 8. President of the American Cancer Society, Florida
11 Division Board of Directors or his or her designee;
12 9. President of the Florida Society of Clinical
13 Oncology or his or her designee;
14 10. President of the American College of Surgeons,
15 Florida Chapter, or his or her designee;
16 11. Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise Florida,
17 Inc., or his or her designee;
18 12. Five representatives from cancer programs approved
19 by the American College of Surgeons. Three shall be appointed
20 by the Governor, one shall be appointed by the Speaker of the
21 House of Representatives, and one shall be appointed by the
22 President of the Senate;
23 13. One member of the House of Representatives, to be
24 appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives; and
25 14. One member of the Senate, to be appointed by the
26 President of the Senate.
27 (d) Appointments made by the Speaker of the House of
28 Representatives and the President of the Senate pursuant to
29 paragraph (c) shall be for 2-year terms, concurrent with the
30 bienniums in which they serve as presiding officers.
31 (e) Appointments made by the Governor pursuant to
