  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to alarm system contractors;

  3         amending s. 633.702, F.S.; providing a criminal

  4         penalty for installing, servicing, testing,

  5         repairing, improving, or inspecting a fire

  6         alarm system without a license; providing an

  7         effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10  

11         Section 1.  Paragraph (b) of subsection (3) of section

12  633.702, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:

13         633.702  Prohibited acts regarding alarm system

14  contractors or certified unlimited electrical contractors;

15  penalties.--

16         (3)  It is a misdemeanor of the first degree,

17  punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083, for any

18  fire alarm system contractor or certified unlimited electrical

19  contractor to intentionally or willfully:

20         (b)  Improperly Install, service, test, repair,

21  improve, or inspect a fire alarm system without being licensed

22  under part II of chapter 489.

23         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

24  law.
