3     Amendment (with ballot statement amendment)
4     On page 1, line 23, through page 2, line 1,
5remove:  all of said lines
6
7and insert:  directly connected therewith.
8     (b)  The subject matter of a revision or amendment to this
9constitution proposed by initiative must be of constitutional
10stature. If the Supreme Court determines that the proposed
11initiative is not of constitutional stature, the Supreme Court
12shall direct the Secretary of State to place the question on the
13next general election ballot as a statutory initiative, which
14shall be provided for by general law. A provision of
15constitutional stature is a provision that guarantees important
16fundamental rights, requires the legislature to address an issue
17of great importance, limits the powers of the three branches of
18government, or repeals a provision of this constitution not of
19constitutional stature.
