15 On page 8, between lines 30 and 31,

17 insert:
18 Section 3. Section 943.17296, Florida Statutes, is
19 created to read:
20 943.17296 Continued employment training relating to
21 dementia and elder abuse and neglect.--The commission, in
22 consultation with the Department of Elder Affairs, shall
23 incorporate instruction on the identification of and
24 appropriate responses for persons suffering from dementia, and
25 on the identification and investigation of elder abuse and
26 neglect into the curriculum required for continuous employment
27 or appointment as a law enforcement officer.
