1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to enterprise zones; creating s.
3	290.00703, F.S.; authorizing the City of South Daytona to
4	apply to the Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic
5	Development to designate an enterprise zone within an area
6	of the City of South Daytona; authorizing the Office of
7	Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development to designate one
8	enterprise zone in the City of South Daytona; providing
9	requirements with respect thereto; providing an effective
10	date.

12	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

14	Section 1.  Section 290.00703, Florida Statutes, is created
15	to read:
16	290.00703  Enterprise zone designation for the City of
17	South Daytona.--The City of South Daytona may apply to the
18	Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development for
19	designation of one enterprise zone within the city. The
20	application must be submitted by December 31, 2004, and must
21	comply with the requirements of s. 290.0055. Notwithstanding the
22	provisions of s. 290.0065 limiting the total number of
23	enterprise zones designated and the number of enterprise zones
24	within a population category, the Office of Tourism, Trade, and
25	Economic Development may designate one enterprise zone under
26	this section. The Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic
27	Development shall establish the initial effective date of the
28	enterprise zone designated under this section.
29	Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming law.
