11  Senator Argenziano moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 4, between lines 27 and 28,
15  
16  insert:  
17         Section 2.  Paragraph (a) of subsection (5) of section
18  216.136, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
19         216.136  Consensus estimating conferences; duties and
20  principals.--
21         (5)  CRIMINAL JUSTICE ESTIMATING CONFERENCE.--
22         (a)  Duties.--The Criminal Justice Estimating
23  Conference shall:
24         1.  Develop such official information relating to the
25  criminal justice system, including forecasts of prison
26  admissions and population and of supervised felony offender
27  admissions and population, as the conference determines is
28  needed for the state planning and budgeting system.
29         2.  Develop such official information relating to the
30  number of eligible discharges and the projected number of
31  civil commitments for determining space needs pursuant to the

Develop official information relating to the number 3 of sexual offenders and sexual predators who are required by 4 law to be placed on community control, probation, or 5 conditional release who are subject to electronic monitoring. 6 In addition, the Office of Economic and Demographic Research 7 shall study the factors relating to the sentencing of sex 8 offenders from the point of arrest through the imposition of 9 sanctions by the sentencing court, including original charges, 10 plea negotiations, trial dispositions, and sanctions. The 11 Department of Corrections, the Office of the State Courts 12 Administrator, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and 13 the State Attorneys shall provide information deemed necessary 14 for the study.
