A reviser's bill to be entitled
2An act relating to the Florida Statutes; amending ss.
3369.324, 381.92, 458.3475, and 459.023, F.S., to conform
4to the directive in s. 1, ch. 93-199, Laws of Florida, to
5remove gender-specific references applicable to human
6beings from the Florida Statutes without substantive
7change in legal effect; providing an effective date.

9Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
10
11     Section 1.  Paragraph (e) of subsection (1) and subsection
12(3) of section 369.324, Florida Statutes, are amended to read:
13     369.324  Wekiva River Basin Commission.--
14     (1)  The Wekiva River Basin Commission is created to
15monitor and ensure the implementation of the recommendations of
16the Wekiva River Basin Coordinating Committee for the Wekiva
17Study Area. The East Central Florida Regional Planning Council
18shall provide staff support to the commission with funding
19assistance from the Department of Community Affairs. The
20commission shall be comprised of a total of 19 members appointed
21by the Governor, 9 of whom shall be voting members and 10 shall
22be ad hoc nonvoting members. The voting members shall include:
23     (e)  One citizen representing an environmental or
24conservation organization, one citizen representing a local
25property owner, a land developer, or an agricultural entity, and
26one at-large citizen who shall serve as chair chairman of the
27council.
28     (3)  Meetings of the commission shall be held in Lake,
29Orange, or Seminole county at the call of the chair chairman,
30but shall meet at least twice a year.
31     Section 2.  Paragraph (c) of subsection (2) of section
32381.92, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
33     381.92  Florida Cancer Council.--

35     (c)  The members of the council shall consist of:
36     1.  Chair Chairman of the Florida Dialogue on Cancer, who
37shall serve as the chair chairman of the council;
38     2.  Secretary of the Department of Health or his or her
39designee;
40     3.  Chief Executive Officer of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer
41Center or his or her designee;
42     4.  Director of the University of Florida Shands Cancer
43Center or his or her designee;
44     5.  Chief Executive Officer of the University of Miami
45Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center or his or her designee;
46     6.  Chief Executive Officer of the Mayo Clinic,
47Jacksonville, or his or her designee;
48     7.  Chief Executive Officer of the American Cancer Society,
49Florida Division, Inc., or his or her designee;
50     8.  President of the American Cancer Society, Florida
51Division, Inc., Board of Directors or his or her designee;
52     9.  President of the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology
53or his or her designee;
54     10.  President of the American College of Surgeons, Florida
55Chapter, or his or her designee;
56     11.  Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise Florida, Inc.,
57or his or her designee;
58     12.  Five representatives from cancer programs approved by
59the American College of Surgeons. Three shall be appointed by
60the Governor, one shall be appointed by the Speaker of the House
61of Representatives, and one shall be appointed by the President
62of the Senate;
63     13.  One member of the House of Representatives, to be
64appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives; and
65     14.  One member of the Senate, to be appointed by the
66President of the Senate.
67     Section 3.  Paragraph (a) of subsection (7) of section
68458.3475, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
69     458.3475  Anesthesiologist assistants.--
70     (7)  ANESTHESIOLOGIST AND ANESTHESIOLOGIST ASSISTANT TO
71ADVISE THE BOARD.--
72     (a)  The chairperson chairman of the board may appoint an
73anesthesiologist and an anesthesiologist assistant to advise the
74board as to the adoption of rules for the licensure of
75anesthesiologist assistants. The board may use a committee
76structure that is most practicable in order to receive any
77recommendations to the board regarding rules and all matters
78relating to anesthesiologist assistants, including, but not
79limited to, recommendations to improve safety in the clinical
80practices of licensed anesthesiologist assistants.
81     Section 4.  Paragraph (a) of subsection (7) of section
82459.023, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
83     459.023  Anesthesiologist assistants.--
84     (7)  ANESTHESIOLOGIST AND ANESTHESIOLOGIST ASSISTANT TO
85ADVISE THE BOARD.--
86     (a)  The chairperson chairman of the board may appoint an
87anesthesiologist and an anesthesiologist assistant to advise the

102     Section 5.  This act shall take effect on the 60th day
103after adjournment sine die of the session of the Legislature in
104which enacted.
