11  The Committee on Judiciary (Aronberg) recommended the
12  following amendment to amendment (742998):
13  
14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 15, line 31, through
16            page 16, line 4, delete those lines
17  
18  and insert:  
19         Section 4.  Subsections (1), (2), (4), and (6) of
20  section 27.5304, Florida Statutes, are amended, and
21  subsections (7), (8), and (9) are added to that section, to
22  read:
23         27.5304  Private court-appointed counsel;
24  compensation.--
25         (1)  Private court-appointed counsel shall be
26  compensated by the Justice Administrative Commission in an
27  amount not to exceed the fee limits established in this
28  section. The attorney also shall be reimbursed for reasonable
29  and necessary expenses in accordance with s. 29.007. If the
30  attorney is representing a defendant charged with more than
31  one offense in the same case, the attorney shall be

This section 3 does not allow stacking of the fee limits established by this 4 section. Court-appointed counsel providing representation 5 under an alternate model shall enter into the uniform contract 6 with the Justice Administrative Commission and shall use the 7 Justice Administrative Commission's uniform procedures and 8 forms in support of billing for attorney's fees, costs, and 9 related expenses; failure to comply with the terms of the 10 contract for services may result in termination of the 11 contract. 12 13 14 ================ T I T L E A M E N D M E N T =============== 15 And the title is amended as follows: 16 On page 90, line 7, after the second semicolon, 17 18 insert: 19 providing that court-appointed counsel use 20 uniform contract, procedures, and forms in 21 certain circumstances; 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 2 5:56 PM 04/20/05 s2542c-ju27-tb2
