11 The Committee on Children and Families (Fasano) recommended
12 the following amendment:

14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 1, lines 10 through 16, delete those lines
16
17 and insert:
18 Section 1. Paragraph (a) of subsection (2) and
19 paragraph (a) of subsection (4) of section 784.046, Florida
20 Statutes, are amended to read:
21 784.046 Action by victim of repeat violence, sexual
22 violence, or dating violence for protective injunction; powers
23 and duties of court and clerk of court; filing and form of
24 petition; notice and hearing; temporary injunction; issuance;
25 statewide verification system; enforcement.--
26 (2) There is created a cause of action for an
27 injunction for protection in cases of repeat violence, there
28 is created a separate cause of action for an injunction for
29 protection in cases of dating violence, and there is created a
30 separate cause of action for an injunction for protection in
31 cases of sexual violence.

1 (a) Any person who is the victim of repeat violence or
2 the parent or legal guardian of any minor child who is living
3 at home and who seeks an injunction for protection against
4 repeat violence on behalf of the minor child or any
5 governmental employer of any person who is the victim of
6 repeat violence in a public workplace who seeks an injunction
7 for protection against repeat violence on behalf of the
8 employee has standing in the circuit court to file a sworn
9 petition for an injunction for protection against repeat
10 violence.

15 On page 1, line 3, after the semicolon,

17 and insert:
18 providing standing for a governmental employer
19 to seek an injunction for protection against
20 repeat violence on behalf of an employee;
