1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to the Immokalee Water and Sewer District,
3	Collier County; amending chapter 98-495, Laws of Florida;
4	revising district boundaries; raising the threshold
5	requiring disbursement of district funds to be by signed
6	warrant or check; providing an effective date.

8	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10	Section 1.  Section 2 of section 2 of chapter 98-495, Laws
11	of Florida, is amended to read:
12	Section 2.  Boundaries.--There is hereby created in Collier
13	County a special taxing district to be known as Immokalee Water
14	and Sewer District. The district will include all that portion
15	of Immokalee in said county described as follows:

17	Sections 1 through 36 of Township 46 South, Range 28
18	East; together with Sections 1 through 6 of Township
19	47 South, Range 28 East; together with Sections 1
20	through 36 of Township 46 South, Range 29 East;
21	together with Sections 1 through 12, Sections 15
22	through 21 and that part of Section 13 lying
23	Northeasterly of a diagonal line from the Northwest
24	Corner to the Southeast Corner of said Section 13,
25	Township 47 South, Range 29 East; together with
26	Sections 6, 7, 18, 19, 30 and 31 of Township 46 South,
27	Range 30 East; together with Sections 6, 7, 18, and
28	that part of Section 19 lying Northeasterly of a
29	diagonal line from the Northwest corner to the
30	Southeast corner of said Section 19, Township 47
31	South, Range 30 East. All the lands described being in
32	Collier County, Florida.

34	The North 300 feet of Section 1, Township 47 South,
35	Range 28 East; and all the lands in Sections 26, 27,
36	28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, and 35, in Township 46
37	South, Range 29 East; together with all lands in
38	Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, and 16
39	in Township 47 South, Range 29 East; together with all
40	the lands in Sections 25, 35 and 36, Township 46
41	South, Range 28 East, and Section 6 in Township 47
42	South, Range 30 East.  All the lands described being
43	in Collier County, Florida.

45	Section 2.  Section 7 of section 2 of chapter 98-495, Laws
46	of Florida, is amended to read:
47	Section 7.  Funds.--No funds of the district shall be used
48	for any purpose other than the administration of the affairs and
49	business of the district, the construction, care, maintenance,
50	upkeep, operation, and repair of sewers and sewer and water
51	systems in the district, as the board may determine to be for
52	the best interest of the district and the inhabitants thereof.
53	All disbursements of the funds of the district over the sum of
54	$5,000 $1,500 shall be made pursuant to warrants or checks
55	signed by the chair or vice chair and countersigned by the
56	treasurer or the secretary of the board.
57	Section 3.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
