15 On page 71, lines 19-29, delete those lines
16
17 and insert: this section must be approved by the Legislature.
18 Federally approved waivers must be submitted to the President
19 of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives
20 for referral to the appropriate legislative committees. The
21 appropriate committees shall recommend whether to approve the
22 implementation of any waivers to the Legislature as a whole.
23 The agency shall submit a plan containing a recommended
24 timeline for implementation of any waivers and budgetary
25 projections of the effect of the pilot program under this
26 section on the total Medicaid budget for the 2006-2007 through
27 2009-2010 state fiscal years. This implementation plan shall
28 be submitted to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of
29 the House of Representatives at the same time any waivers are
30 submitted for consideration by the Legislature.
